White blouse with collar – Robinsons Department Store
Blue blouse – Bayo
Floral dress – Meryl’s Closet
Shoes – Jazz
Brown Belt – Robinsons Department Store

We shot this where there was a slight wind blowing.  I love it.  I also like my dress because it’s colorful and I can make a lot of outfits with it.  There was even a time that I had a dream wearing an outfit using this dress.  God willing, I would definitely wear that outfit soon in real life but after my 30 Days of Modesty because the other piece is not included in my 30 items.

I can’t wait to finish posting my 30 outfits.  I should have finished them by end of October if I was able to post an outfit everyday.  Here are my outfits #21 to #25.  I wore the same skirt in outfits 21, 23, and 24.  It’s amazing how I can wear a long skirt in different ways.  I can wear it with a tucked shirt, as a dress, or with a shirt untucked.  I even wore it as a top here.

One of my managers started calling me Sushmita several months ago.  Primarily because we have counterparts and colleagues in our company’s office in India.  She decided to name me after the 1994 Miss Universe Sushmita Sen (Miss Universe was held in the Philippines and I was in high school that time).  I think that is because of the unusual remarks I give during our meetings and even in our casual conversations and maybe because of my height.  I’m not that tall, but with this height, I am taller than the average Filipina.

The day I wore this outfit, hubby also cooked dinner as I was sooo tired when he picked me up.  And guess what?  He cooked Indian food.  I have no idea how he calls it but he used Indian spices.  That was not the first time he cooked Indian food.  Actually, at the rate he’s going, I estimate that he cooks Indian food 90% of the time, of those very few times he agreed or volunteered to cook.  I don’t know what is it in Indian food that fascinates him.  Whenever we are in a grocery, he always buys Indian spices to add to his collection in our kitchen.  I am very thankful that my husband cooks dinner if I say I’m tired.  But hey, I don’t abuse this, really.  I only say I’m tired if I’m really tired.  If both of us are not in the mood to cook, then we’ll just have dinner at the nearest KFC or if it’s the time of the month to spend more on a dinner, we go to our favorite Asian restaurant and give ourselves a hard time breathing due to our full stomachs.

I still can’t get over the idea that I went to the office last Saturday to work. Hubby says it’s as if the project is on double red alert because we were all there like a normal working day.

Since today is a holiday (again) in the Philippines, I have this day to try to move on from Saturday’s overtime work. And I can do that if and only if I buy new shoesesss. You read that right, shoesesss. Do I need to type it one more time? Shoesesss. We went to the mall today and I was able to buy a new pair. A pair means shoes. If I buy another pair, then it would be shoeses.  Add two more new pairs and it will be shoesesss.  It would be enough for me to move on and forget that I went to work last Saturday.

Hubby is sick with cold and he coughs from time to time. I think he has a pretty good reason not to go to work tomorrow. But knowing him, he would still go to work because if he doesn’t, I think I need to rush him to the hospital because I’m sure that he’s not in his proper mind. He already reminded me that we need to leave home early tomorrow because he has a 9:30am meeting. Good thing that he would be on a client visit near my office and that would mean we’ll have a lunch date tomorrow. I would be able to wear my new shoes *wink wink*.

These pictures were shot daysss ago. My favorite letter, by the way, is S, since my name starts with it. It has been my favorite since I learned to write. Now, back to the topic. I only had the time to post it now because *sigh*… Why do I need to be reminded again that my work takes away precious blogging time? Anyways, the first picture was shot while I was waiting for a jeepney because hubby won’t let me ride in our car. After I got in a jeepney to take me to a nearby mall, I had the other pictures taken. Too bad, hubby missed to take pictures of my belt flowing with the wind while the jeepney was running, very cinematic*.

* cinematic effect while in a jeepney ride – an idea borrowed from my officemate who I’d like to name here as P.

The outfit is a maxi skirt over a dress.  Hubby doesn’t like this outfit as he sees this as a dress on top of one.  The concept of this outfit is for them to appear as just one dress.  Anyways, I still left the house that day wearing this outfit even if hubby did not compliment me for this.  If he told me that this is not modest, only then I will change to another outfit.  Other than that, there will always be someone who will like my outfit, and that is me.  But he still took my pictures because there’s no one to do it anyway.  I know with God’s help, I will get better in pulling off different outfits so I can satisfy not only myself but also hubby.  As what I have read in one of my friends’ Facebook status, Girls dress not to impress boys but to impress other girls, in which  I agree.  I have been like this since 5th grade.  I remember one time, I saved my allowance to buy a really nice headband to show off to one of my girl classmate.  I think I still have that attitude until now.  I hope that it’s harmless if done in moderation.  Like I won’t save my money (or maybe hubby’s money) to buy an LV bag.  Duh!  But if that would be given to me as a gift, that would be nice.  Do you also have any childish attitude which you have until now?

My work distracts me from blogging.  3 days that I was not able to post anything here.  Anyways, my pictures are always ready.  It’s just that my work isn’t cooperating.

I wore this outfit when the dinosaurs crawled the earth.  It’s red, white, and blue (hey, I’m typing the colors for the benefit of the color blinds who are also into fashion blogs).  Never mind the cute pink belt.  It will not match the theme I want to convey in this post.  I was thinking if I would wear my yellow scarf instead of the pink belt in order to get the complete colors of the Philippine flag.  Since I don’t have much time to think about it before we shot this (it was morning of a weekday and of course, we have to rush), I just put on the pink belt.  Anyways, I seldom use it.  Wait, giving the picture a second look, it also looks like the flag of France.  Both flags have the same colors, anyway except for yellow.  But since I was not wearing anything yellow (not counting my teeth if they appeared to be yellow.  I hope they would also be forgiving as I forgot to brush them that morning), I declare that this outfit has the colors of the flag of France.  All you patriotic citizens of my beloved country, before you get mad at me, would you be pretty enough to leave me alone with my choice between the two flags?  It’s just for a change, period.  I’m not giving up my citizenship… yet.  I still have to enjoy the four-day weekend in the Philippines which officially starts today!  This is one of the things I like in here.  Cheers!
